Meet Lisa Anderson LPN

Lisa has been dedicated to helping people improve their health since 2005. She has experienced the vast array of issues such as  toenail fungus, corns, and calluses. Her goal is to aid in educating and providing foot care services so clients can stay mobile and independent.

    • Registered member of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives

    • Foot Care Nursing Certificate
    • The Art and Science of Burring Certificate
    • Criminal Record Check
    • 10+ years as an LPN in acute care, long term care, home care, dementia, and palliative care
    • 5+ years’ experience with a vast array of feet issues in home and clinic setting

Parking Requirements for Services

  • Residential – advise where to park (street or driveway).
  • Condos or Apartments – direct to visitor parking, if not available please advise where to park.
  • Paid Parking – if metered or a paid parking lot is the only option for parking, the client will be charged for parking in addition to footcare service. I will make every effort to attain free street parking.

**Note: due to the amount of equipment and supplies required to do footcare it is impossible to offer services to clients who require Lisa to walk more than one block.

Cost & Payments Accepted
  • In-Home Footcare: $75.00 (Note: first session is one hour approx.; subsequent appointments are 35-45 min)
  • Fingernail Care: $15.00 (Note: Must be accompanied with a footcare appt)
  • ONLY accept cash, cheque, or e-transfer
  • Payment due day of service
  • Taxes are not applicable for nursing footcare.
  • Nursing footcare services are tax deductible and receipts are given day of service so clients can claim footcare services on income tax.
  • Some extended health plans and veterans have coverage for footcare. Ask your provider if you are eligible. Your Footcare Matters does not directly bill to Extended health care providers or Veterans.
My Services & Procedures
  • I provide professional in-home footcare service. I am the owner of Your Footcare Matters, and a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • I use a suction rotary podiatry file for precision work that helps decrease thickness of nails, calluses, and corns.
  • I use industry standard nippers and multiple grinding bits for a variety of foot conditions.
  • All instruments sterilized in accordance with the best practice guidelines of BC’s Best Practice Guidelines for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
  • Personal liability insurance and Worksafe BC coverage.

Do I Really Need Footcare?

You will benefit from professional footcare if you are:

  • Unable to reach your feet.
  • Homebound
  • Struggling with trimming fingernails and toenails due to arthritis and other medical conditions

What to Expect & How To Prepare

Q: How long are the footcare appointments?

A: The first appointment is approximately 60 minutes long and subsequent follow up appointment are approximately 30 – 45 minutes long.

Q: How often do you recommend appointments?

A: Recommend follow up appointment every 6 to 8 weeks to keep feet comfortable and healthy. This appointment includes update on change to medical history, concerns regarding feet, visual exam of feet, routine footcare, moistening foot rub, advice, and recommendations.

Q: Is footcare a pedicure?

A: No. A pedicure makes your feet look pretty with nail polish. Lisa will assist with caring for healthy feet.

Q; What to do prior to appointment?

A: Follow these steps prior to your appointment:

  • Please remove any toenail polish
  • Do not soak your feet.
  • Wear the shoes you most commonly wear to walk.
  • Have someone at the appointment that can assist client with footcare recommendations if client unable.
  • Be prepared to provide medical history and overview of medications.
  • Please provide a large bath towel.

Q; Do you tip for footcare services?

A: No, nurses do not accept tips for services but appreciate a Thank You.

Q: What if I need to cancel my footcare appointment?

A: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 72 hours’ notice. This is to allow another client in need of footcare to take the spot. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a $45 charge to your account.

No show – clients who are not home for their appointment will be charged $75 for their missed appointment.
Health and medical situations will be taken into consideration.
